Opening sentence
Shaun, Shauna, Sheryl and Shane are sheep. Kevin is too, though he's different, quite deep.
Kevin the sheep is not like the other sheep. He does things his own way. The other sheep do not understand why Kevin likes to do things so very differently. Will they accept him just as he is?
This quirky tale shows how it is ok to be different, to like different things and not be ashamed. While the message is important it is subtle alongside the jaunty rhyming text.
The illustrations are fun and captivating for young readers with each sheep showing great personality. The details in the pictures are as much a part of the story as the clever text.
Many young readers will enjoy this book, and many parents and teachers will enjoy sharing this book with children.
