Opening sentence
It's Christmas Day tomorrow! Our house is filled with delight. I'm skipping and flipping, jumping and dipping, because...Santa is coming tonight!
If you're looking for the perfect 'stocking stuffer', or a great read aloud for the juniors in your school, then look no further than this rollicking good read. With its bouncy rhythmical text and lively illustrations, it will capture the little ones' attention in no time.

As well as the obvious 'bum' word - there are farts (illustrated) and the word 'loo' to get the young kids' attention and make them laugh. The excitement of Christmas is well illustrated with food, decorations and presents but the boy in the story decides his bum is too plain and needs dressing up. So how does he decorate his plain bottom?

Some of the words typed in a bold colourful font jump out of the page and add fun to the story. Alliteration also abounds, making it a fun read aloud book. Can you spot the little Santa dog on each page?

I thought my own attempt at a rhyme would fit perfectly - 'Sitting on holly would be no joke, Into your bottom the prickles would poke!'

There is a moral to this humorous story: the boy realises that Christmas is not all about him, it's about caring and sharing. However, he's still overjoyed to get his present!
