Opening sentence
For Ash, watching The News at Nine from inside the control booth was like watching her little sister try to tie her shoes; Ash could do it so much better if she were only allowed to help.
When Ash and her friend are kicked off the school's news team they decide to start their own news reports. They soon find themselves caught in the middle of their own mystery.

This story is a great way to show students that all is not what it first seems on the internet. The 'free' educational software that the team and the school have been using has been used to track everything that the students have been doing online.

The author's notes in the back of the book explain just how careful we all need to be when we use any device and how companies are using our personal information. She also shares some ways that we can keep our information safe online.
