Opening sentence
Deep in the forest in Aotearoa, there are some trees with thick trunks.
This book follows the day in the life of a little brown kiwi called Miro. Each page is full of wonderful descriptions and facts about Miro and life in the ngāhere.
Supporting each page is a colour photograph which links well to the text, allowing the reader to see what the author has described and explained in the text. At the end of book the author provides more facts about the little brown kiwi, glossary and a map showing where they live in Aotearoa New Zealand.
This is a lovely book and would support learning about native Aotearoa New Zealand animals in a classroom.
