Opening sentence
If each story that I write begins with a pencil on a page, I'll join one letter to one more and take it stage by stage.
This title was first written as a song, which has now been published as a book by Scholastic with illustrations by Rose Northey. The illustrations are beautiful and certainly have lots of detail, which I am sure children will love. However, I am not sure how well the actual song reads as a story. Without an obvious tune it sounds very repetitive.

The front of the book has a place to go to download colouring activities, however their is no direction to the actual song. A quick Google search led me to a YouTube video, but disappointingly Suzy Cato is only reading the story and not singing it.

My verdict - beautiful illustrations and I am sure a great song, if you can find the tune to sing along too!
