This Land Aotearoa is a beautiful picture book. It showcases a poem describing our stunning country and combining both English and te reo Māori.
Each page has a beautiful picture featuring aspects of our New Zealand landscape – including beaches, rivers, cities and mountains. The words are clear and bold on the page with English first and te reo translation on the facing page. This gives a great opportunity for expanding vocabulary knowledge in both languages.
The book allows the reader or listener to take a wander through our diverse country visually and through lyrical language. There is plenty in this book to begin discussions on numerous topics.
