Lucy and the Dark

This picture book is an absolute gem for helping children feel comfortable sleeping in the dark.

When her mother decides it’s time to switch off her night-light, Lucy is reluctant for that to happen. She needs the light as the dark is very dark! Lucy soon discovers that the dark isn’t so scary after all and the two become fast friends and decide to have an adventure.

The story is easy to follow along, with complimentary illustrations that make it a fun reading experience. Bedtime and pre-nap time would be most ideal to read. The front and back cover of the book are specially printed to glow in the dark, which is a treat and gently allows confidence and curiosity in the dark to bloom with young ones.

I highly recommend this book to have at home, in library collections and school settings.
