Opening sentence
I spy a cloud floating by / Where do you go cloud so high?
This book just jumps out a a great read aloud to younger tamariki. The poetic language flows easily and the illustrations are bright and beautiful. A boy is talking to a cloud who he is try to catch, but the wind takes it away in the storm with the boy of course giving chase.

The story is full of movement and action and this would be a great story to act out outside with younger children on a sunny day. The words change in font, size and boldness so they seem to move across the page as the rhythm of the words flow.

There is lots going on the in the illustrations to talk about, and they compliment the text perfectly. You can actually hear how this book should be read as you flick through it.

I love this book, and it is wonderful to see a good quality picture book to enhance young minds with detailed illustrations and flowing, rhyming text of high quality language.
